Annapurna Region Trekking

The Annapurna Region locates itself 200 Km. west of Katmandu valley and north of Pokhara valley. The Marsyangdi and Kaligandaki – two big Rivers of Gandaki system – surround the Himalayan region of Annapurna from east and west respectively. Situated between these two big Himalayan Rivers the region presents itself as a unique collection of picturesque diversities of nature and its beauty on the one hand and of ethnicity, cultures, religions and many other social characteristics on the other. This region is unique in the world also because it has twelve different Himalayan peaks of higher than 7000mt. and many other peaks higher than 6000mt. The peaks are having an altitude of more than 8000mt. such as Annapurna 1st and Dhaulagiri always challenge those mountaineers who feel themselves to be the most professionals Alpinists where as the peak is higher than 7000mt. the mediocre and the higher than 6000mt. the beginners. So this region offers the mountaineering possibilities for all types of mountaineers.
The Annapurna region is well known as a famous tourist destination of the world. It offers the tourists to come to Nepal for the trekking with its Himalayan ranges including Thorang-La pass (5416m), Tilicho Lake (5119 mt.) lies on one of the highest elevations of world. Jomsom, Muktinath, Manang, Ghorepani, Ghandurk, one of the deepest river gorges of Kali Gandaki River to big mountains and biggest rhododendron forest of the world and spectacular views of mountains from every where presents in themselves such a majestic and enchanting images as if they were created attract and recreate the human beings.
