Gorkaha |
|
Situated on a western hill
overlooking the snow-clad peaks belonging to the
Great Himalayan Ranges, Gorkha was the former
capital of the un-united west Nepal before or
till the 17th century. It houses two attractive
Hindu temples of Lord Gorakhnath and Goddess
Kali. It is the birth-place of late King Prithbi
Narayan Shah-the sole Propounder of Modern
Nepal. It is to be well acknowledged that late
King Prithbi Narayan Shah was the last monarch
of Gorkha and the first monarch of new Nepal. An
optional tour to Mankamana consuming in fact a
trek of 4 hours is suggestive because it turns

world famous Gorkha mercenaries hail from this
district pertaining to Gandaki Zone of

Janakpur |
|
This is a religious city in south Nepal
famous as the birth-place of Sita who is the divine
consort of Lord Ram Chandra and the unanimous heroine of
the great Hindu epic "Ramayan." A marble temple
popularly known as Noulakh Mandir is dedicated to Sita
(sometimes Janaki). In ancient days Janakpur was ruled
by late King Janak. Being the daughter of Janak, She has
eventually come to be called Janaki-a feminine gender
usage of the oriental term. Religious festivals,
pilgrimages, comely fairs and other merry festivities
are held here especially during two great occasions
which include Bibaha Panchami and Ram Nabami. Janakpur
is linked with Kathmandu by air plus road. A 45
kilometer railway brings you to Janakpur from Jaynagar,
another town of Indian nature in the scorching plains of
the Terai. This is the only train route existing in all
the kingdom of Nepal. You are most welcome to join our

Muktinath |
|
Muktinath is situated in north central
Nepal on the northern area of the Annapurna Circuit
trekking trail. The temple is situated on high
mountains. Muktinath is being held as sacred temple by
both Hindus and Buddhist. The main Shrine is a pagoda
shaped temple dedicated to lord Vishnu.There are two
ways to get to Muktinath: one is to take a flight from
Pokhara to Jomsom and then to hike couple of hours to
temple or to trek all the way from Pokhara. |

Gosainkunda |
|
Gosainkunda Lake, which is situated at
an altitude of 4380 MTR, is believed to have been
created by lord Shiva, when he thrust his trident into a
mountain to draw water so that he could cool his burning
throat after swallowing poison. This is one of the most
famous pilgrimage destinations of Nepal. The best
approach to Gosainkunda is through Dhunchhe- gateway to
Langtang trek, which is 118 KM north east of Kathmandu
with motor able road. Surrounded by high mountains on
the north and south, the lake is grand and picturesque.
There are other nine famous lakes such as Nag Daha,
Surya Kunda, Saraswoti Kunda, Bhairab Kunda, and Ganesh
Kunda etc. Devotees gather here in hordes on the full
moon day of August to take holy dips in the water.

Daman |
|
For those seeking the ultimate
pan-Himalayan view, Daman is the place to view
Himalayas, which is Located 80 km southwest of the
Katmandu Valley. Daman (2,400 m) offers the only
unimpeded view of the entire Himalayan range. Daman is
located on the Tribhuvan Highway in between Kathmandu
and the town of Birjung. There is a view tower fitted
with long-range telescopes. Daman can be reached in four

Nagarkot |

Nagarkot situated an elevation of 2175
m, 32 km east of Kathmandu. Nagarkot is a widely enjoyed
hill resort. It has been a weekend spot for mountain
viewers in quiet and comfort. The sunrise viewed from
this hill present you the ever-refreshing memory of the
majestic panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges from
Dhaulagiri in the west and Mt. Everest in the east. |

Dhulikhel |

This ancient town is situated 30 km
east of Katmandu on the side of the Arniko Rajmarga
(Kathmandu-Kodari Highway). The Newar town of Dhulikhel
offers a traditional atmosphere along with spectacular
views. Once an important link in the ancient trade route
to Tibet, Dhulikhel has a glorious past, which can be
witnessed in the lovely buildings, and intricate
woodcarvings, which can be found in the shop-lined
streets and temples. |

Namo Buddha |

It is situated on a hill above Panauti.
It requires an easy drive or good walk to get there.
There is an amazing legend related to the Buddha, which
is commemorated, by an ancient stone slab and a stupa
with the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. It is good
place for meditation. |
