Gangtok
This fairytale capital of Sikkim in the clouds, balanced precariously on steep mountain slopes, surrounded by lush rice terraces, swift flowing, gurgling, foaming rivers and distant snow views is a must visit in Sikkim tour. The famous tourism attractions in Gangtok are Rumtek monastery, Do-Drul Chorten, Tashi viewpoint, Lal Bazaar and Tsuklakhang.
Pemayangtse
This not-to-be-missed tourism destination in Sikkim is 120 Kilometers from Gangtok. A hermit built Pemayangtse monastery in the 17th century and since then, this place has become a tour attraction. Other things worth visiting in the vicinity are Tashiding Monastery, Rabdentse, Khecheopalri Lake and Yuksam.
Yumthan
Yumthang in North Sikkim situated at an altitude of 12,000 feet is about 140 km from Gangtok. This paradise for nature lovers has a fascinating blend of breathtaking scenic view with hot springs and alpine environment. This is a must visit destination during Sikkim tour. On the way to this beautiful natural paradise, one can see the magnificent Khang-Chen-Dzonga range in all its splendour from Singhik village and pass through lush green Lachung.
Day 01: Arrival
Fly to Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station/ Biratnagar /Bhadrapur On arrival you are met by your guide and driven to Gangtok
Day 02: Gangtok (1,600m)
In the morning Visit Enchey Monastery, Deer Park, Government institute of Cottage Industry, Dodrul Chorten, Research Institute of Tobetology. Afternoon Visit Rumtek Monastery, situated 24 kms this magnificent monastery was built by the late Gyalwa Karmapa, the head of the Kagyu sect.
Day 03: Gangtok-Lanchung (2,750mts)
In morning drive early to Lachung, a small picturesque village surrounded by high snow cap peaks, located in a valley in North Sikkim. O/N at Hotel
Day 04: Lachung-Yumthang-Lachung (3,500mts )
After breakfast, drive through conifer and rhododendron forest and enjoy a picnic lunch on route to Lachung. Packed lunch provided. Spend the afternoon sightseeing around Lachung.O/N at hotel
Day 05: Lachung-Gangtok
Drive back to Gangtok.
Day 06: Gangtok-Pemayangtse (2,085m )
In the morning, after breakfast drive through semi tropical forests. Cardamom plantation and villages to Pelling. During the afternoon you will visit the Pemayanste monastery, situated adjacent to the hotel. This is a premier monastery of Sikkim built in the 17th century.
Day 07: Pemayangtse-Khenchapladri lake-Pemayangtse
After breakfast drive to Khechoperi lake which is also known as the wishing lake, and is considered very sacred and no water sport or other activities besides prayer and worship are allowed around it. In the afternoon, take a short walk to Sangacholing Monastery located on a hillock above the hotel. On a clear day the view of the mountain ranges is breathtaking.
Day 08: Pemayangtse-Kalimpong (133 kms )
Breakfast: full day Sightseeing of Kalimpong town.
